My Education

I received a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology. Prior to that I attended University of Southern California and received a Masters in Social Work. For both degrees I had supervised internships in outpatient and inpatient settings. My doctoral dissertation was "Marital Adjustment and Its Relationship to Family Interaction."

On a regular basis I continue my education by attending seminars related to my interest in families and adults.

My Work Experience

Prior to receiving my Masters in Social Work I worked in public welfare supervising children in foster homes. I worked at the Department of Child and Family Psychiatry which is part of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I remained on staff there for 22 years supervising other clinicians and working with families and children. I had a private practice in Encino, California, focusing on adults and couples. In 1989 I became licensed in Oregon and joined Willamette Valley Family Center in Oregon City.

I maintain membership in both Oregon Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.

My Office      . . . "A Safe Place to Share your Thoughts and Feelings"

My Office is located at the Willamette Valley Family Center in one of Oregon City's historic turn-of-the-century building. My office overlooks the Carnegie Park, which is the home of historic Carnegie Center.   The park's playground equipment nestled under a canopy of trees is occasionally a place where I talk with some of the children I see.

The Willamette Valley Family Center is a private mental health practice that has been providing psychological services in the community for over 25 years. I share the center with seven other psychologists and two psychiatrists who are colleagues I am able to consult with on a regular basis.
In some situations when I am working with families or couples there may be a benefit for one of the family members to consult with one of the other therapists in my office. The psychiatrists in the Center are available for medication consultation and management.
